Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has called up young defenders Elias Costis and Jerónimo Spina to train with the first-team ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Lille, Mundo Deportivo reported on Tuesday.

Atletico Madrid have suffered another injury blow with Clement Lenglet out of the side following the departures of Robin Le Normand and Cesar Azpilicueta, leaving Simeone with limited options in defence, with the Argentine recalling youngsters Kostis and Spina to training with the first-team squad as spares for Wednesday’s clash with Lille. 

Simeone will field Axel Witsel, Jose Maria Jimenez and Reinildo Mandava for Wednesday’s Champions League clash, with Kostis and Spina expected to be emergency options on the bench. ( zbet911 )
