The 28-year-old led the way in rebounding, averaging 14.1 for the third straight season, while also averaging 19.5 points and 6.2 assists and shooting 43.2 percent from long range.

In addition, he also had the most double-doubles in the league, reaching 50 times. 

Sabonis’ absence gives veteran Jonas Valanciunas more playing time, while the Kings also signed Skal Labissier from the G League on a 10-day deal. 

Labissier was the Kings’ 28th overall pick in the 2016 draft and is averaging 15.8 points and 7.5 rebounds this season, making his third career return to Sacramento. 

The Kings are now on a four- game winning streak to improve to 32-28 and sit in eighth place in the West in the play – in tournament.
