Hopkins became a free agent after being released by the Cardinals on May 26. The free agent wide receiver previously spoke with the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, but no deal was reached.
As ‘D-Hopkins’ explores his options, the 31-year-old wide receiver felt the need to send a message to whoever he ends up joining in 2023, tweeting, “Whoever is in my future wide receiver group, I promise I’ll make your job easier,” before Hopkins later deleted the message.
Hopkins has played in just 19 games over the past two years in Arizona, catching just 106 passes for 1,289 yards and 11 touchdowns, due to fitness issues and was suspended for the first six games of the 2022 season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy.
