The game at the Etihad Stadium was full of incident, with one highlight being the clash between Haaland and Gabriel, who fought both on and off the pitch for the entire 90 minutes.
As City equalised in stoppage time, the Norway forward picked up the ball at the back of the net and unleashed a header over the frustrated Gabriel, which Wright described as a cowardly act.
“The only thing that pisses me off is the cowardly act of Haaland, throwing the ball at Gabi’s head when he was facing away, when Gabi had his back turned. It’s a very cowardly act,” Haaland said on social media.
“Gabi will look into his eyes, you know, that’s what annoys me the most. I think he (Haaland) is better than that.” ( wilson88 )
