However, the initial offer of £25 million offered by the top London Stadium team was too low for Wolves to accept, so they sent West Ham’s staff to work out a new deal. 

The reason head coach Gary O’Neill’s side are unwilling to sell Kilman is because of his influence in the dressing room as captain. Including last season, he was still just 1 of 2 people in the English Premier League, along with Arsenal’s William Saliba, who played every minute of 38 matchdays. 

Moreover, Kilman just signed a new contract less than a year ago, a long-term commitment until June 2028 .
