Witten, 38, announced his second retirement of his career last week. After his initial retirement, he shifted his focus to television as a game analyst. But this time he will retire and work on the sidelines.
Since entering the league as a third-round draft pick in the 2003 class, he has made 11 Pro Bowl appearances in his first 15-year career with the Cowboys. He returned to play in Dallas for another year. He played his final season with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he caught 13 passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns.
During his 17-year career, Witten totaled 1,228 receptions for 13,046 yards and 74 touchdowns.
