Villarreal have reportedly agreed a €20.5m deal with Getafe for Mayoral to bolster their attacking options, with Alexander Sørloth set to join Atletico Madrid ahead of Real Sociedad, who are also interested in the player. 

However, a deal for the 27-year-old is yet to materialise as the player is struggling with a knee problem he suffered in March and has yet to fully recover, with Villarreal now looking for alternatives after Mayoral’s deal was suspended.
