Trent has been linked with a move away from the club with his contract expiring in the summer of 2025, with Spanish giants Real Madrid said to be keen on a move for him.
Trent said: “I want to be player of the season this season (at least) that’s what I’m going to say. I’ve been at the club for 20 years, I’ve signed four or five new contracts and never publicly. It’s going to be like that this time.”
