Trippier was an unused substitute in last weekend’s Premier League opener, a move that has led British media to believe the player is more dissatisfied with Eddie Howe.

Trippier is not ruling out a move to a new club at the moment and it remains to be seen whether the Toffees’ offer will be considered by Newcastle.

Trippier is contracted until mid-2026, meaning a loan move this summer is still possible if no clubs come forward to negotiate a permanent move.
