mungme168 Pep Guardiola has hailed Kevin De Bruyne after Manchester City came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 5-2 on Saturday.
The Citizens were in trouble after Palace came from 2-0 down to make it three, but Erebisi Eze’s shot was ruled out for offside before De Bruyne equalised with a free-kick and the Blues came from four further to seal the win. mungme168
For De Bruyne, who announced his departure from Man City at the end of the season, he recorded both a goal and an assist in his 28th Premier League game, and his 30th goal from outside the penalty area.
“This is the Kevin we’ve known for many years,” Guardiola told BBC Sport.
“I know he had a difficult time in the last year and a half. Now he plays without pain and it’s completely different.
“The way we played helped him a lot with great players in the gaps, young players, full-backs.
“I can say we played brilliantly throughout the game. We were 2-0 down but we created a lot of chances and I said at half-time that we played well.
“His momentum was restored with a free-kick from Kevin and after that we played really well considering we were 2-0 down and how good Crystal Palace have been in recent games.” ( mungme168 )
