New York Giants head coach Brian DeBoll has revealed that Daniel Jones will miss the away game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Because the 26-year-old quarterback had a neck injury from last week, 34-year-old backup Rod Taylor is expected to make his first start this season. According to a report from NFL Network  ( Doomai )

Jones injured his neck early in the fourth quarter of last week’s 16-31 loss to the Miami Dolphins. After being sacked by Andrew Van Ginkel, the 26-year-old quarterback had to leave the field and never return, although Jones recovered relatively well. But DeBoll ultimately confirmed the young quarterback was unavailable for the away game against Buffalo.

Jones’ injury is due in part to offensive line issues that have allowed the 26-year-old quarterback to be hit with 28 sacks, the most in the league through the Sea’s first five games. This time

The Giants will give Taylor, a 34-year-old veteran, his first start of the season. Over his career, he started 53 games, including 43 with the Bills from 2015-2017, to a 22-20-1 record and a 51-16 touchdown-to-interception ratio before the Buffalo Bills selected Josh A. Allen has gone from being a first-round draft pick to being the new franchise captain.
