The Guardian, a British media outlet, reported that Texter plans to use his own money and several partners to buy Everton Football Club after receiving exclusive negotiation rights with current owner Farhad Moshiri in August. ( superwin636 )
Texter is reportedly confident he will succeed in his £600m bid to buy out Moshiri, becoming the club’s majority shareholder and taking the club into the hands of Eagle Football Group, a company that is controlling the club.
Textor currently owns Lyon, Botafogo, Molenbeek and has a 45 per cent stake in Crystal Palace and is confident of reaching an agreement with Moshiri within the next four weeks, but with the Eagles’ stake yet to be sold, Premier League approval could take longer.
Texter was previously reported to be considering sacking Sean Dyche as manager if he could take over the club soon, after a poor run of three straight Premier League losses in the 2024-25 season, starting with a 0-3 home defeat to Brighton, a 0-4 away defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and a 2-3 home defeat to Bournemouth.
