Harris, a 30-year-old Broncos wide receiver, is set to hit free agency next summer and, if he stays healthy and plays up to par, could be in line for a big-money 2020 contract, whether or not it happens with the Mustangs.
“It’s a huge relief to go out there and focus on my work this year, knowing that next year I have the opportunity to cash in and shape the rest of my life and my career, and I’m excited about that,” Harris revealed.
Although he’s set to become a free agent next summer, Harris is hopeful that his next deal will keep him in Denver, where he began his career with the Mustangs as an undrafted player in 2011.
“I’ve always wanted to retire as a Bronco and finish my career there. I’m going into my ninth year, so this is a big year for me. I hope after this year they want to lock me up and keep me here forever.” ( superheng1688 )
