“I could come here and congratulate myself, but the number of points I’ve scored is really big,” he told Spectrum Sports Network.

“I am personally thrilled to score that many points in the best basketball league in the world, with some of the best players in the world throughout their careers. It’s really special.” 

Teammate Luka Doncic also gave a big shout-out to the 40-year-old forward.

“It’s amazing to see you doing this at 40-something,” added the 15-year-old guard. 

“Accumulating 50,000 points, I don’t need to explain how crazy it is. But who knows, maybe he’ll live to 70,000 points.” 

James also holds the all-time regular season (41,871 ) and playoff (8,162 ) points   records.
