sudpung168 Travis Kelce remains a potential player for the Kansas City Chiefs, according to teammate Charles Omenihu.
Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu, 27, believes Travis Kelce still has the potential to play in the NFL and urged the 35-year-old wideout not to retire too soon, according to Fox Sports. sudpung168
“That’s my message to Trav, ‘Big Dog, we as an organization can’t go out like that,'” Omenihu said of Kelce on Fox Sports’ The Facility.
Omenihu understands why Kelsey is considering retirement, but he believes the 35-year-old still has the potential to lead the Chiefs to success in the future.
“He was Hall of Famer from the moment he said, ‘I’m done,’ right? ” Omenaihu said. “But I think there’s more to Trav. I think Trav’s a great fighter. I think he’s a guy who loves the game. I think in a career that he’s been through a lot, to go out like that, in my opinion, is not something he would do.”
‘So I believe he will come back. I believe he will try again.’
Meanwhile, Omenihu is set to become a free agent and it’s unclear whether he’ll return to Kansas City, but if he does, the 27-year-old defensive end wants Kelce back too.
“We’ve got some guys coming back,” Omenaihu said. “Rashi (Rice) is coming back, so that’s going to help the team offensively. I think no matter what the weaknesses are, coach (Andy) Reid and (general manager) Brett (Veach) do a good job of winning quickly. They’re not going to overlook any of the reasons why we couldn’t win. So it’s going to be about improving, recharging and coming back.” ( sudpung168 )
