Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pache revealed during the NFL Combine this week that the team is releasing towering quarterback Glennon after pushing for rising star quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to become the franchise’s new full-back.

The Bears signed Glennon to a three-year, $45 million contract in the 2017 offseason. He was due $18.5 million in his first year but started just four games before becoming Turbisky’s backup.

Trubisky will be the starting quarterback next season, so there is no need for the Bears to keep Glennon. The Arizona Cardinals were also reportedly interested in Glennon, having been following him since college before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted him that year. 

However, if Carnall were to bring in Glennon to take over as the number one quarterback, Arizona fans would not be too happy about that plan. ( sudpung168 )
