After the game, Ter Stegen revealed that although the team controlled the game well, they had problems in the final third because they were unable to create any danger for their opponents.
“We fought to win. But we didn’t get far enough into the final area. It was a tough, hard-fought game. Maybe a draw would be better for them,” said the German.
“Especially what (Injuries to Frenkie de Jong and Pedri) happened from the beginning of the game. And you start to feel that. Two key players are injured, however I think the replacements did a good job.
