The 5-foot-8, 211-pound running back is part of the Raiders’ offensive recovery plan under new head coach Pete Carroll, who is expecting changes to come, even though they are still early in rookie minicamp.
“This is a new brotherhood. We’re all welcoming each other and getting to know each other,” Ginty said. “Pete Carroll said yesterday that we all need to connect and build relationships, and that’s what makes us a better team and teammates.”
The Raiders are coming off a dismal 4-13 season that saw them finish last in the AFC West and miss the playoffs for three straight years and seven of the last eight years due to a series of mistakes, including a rushing game that allowed just 1,357 yards, ranking 32nd in the NFL.
That led Carroll and new general manager John Spitek to select Boise State running back Ginty with the No. 6 pick in the 2025 draft, the highest pick since Darren McFadden was selected No. 4 in the 2008 class.
‘I’m very lucky to be here. I’m happy to continue this process and learn,’ Jinty said. ‘I just joined the team, so I’m not really impressed yet, but I’m going to try to do everything I can and try to learn as much as I can.’ ( sqgame555 )
