Former Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shenehan returned to the Cavaliers’ training camp for the first time since being fired by the team 11 years ago, according to ESPN on Saturday. past  ( messi1688 )

Shenehan, 66, took over as head coach of the Broncos in 1995. Over 14 seasons, they posted a 146-91 record (including playoff appearances) and led the Broncos to the Super Bowl championship. Bowl’ two times (1998 and 1999) before Pat Bow played. Team owner retired from his position in 2008 after an 8-8 record. He then returned to attend a ceremony to honor the Super Bowl champion. Bowl’s many times over the years and even attended Bowl’s funeral last month. But the first visit to the Wild Horses’ practice field happened on Saturday. 

‘I’m so happy to have Mike here, I invited him, I’m glad he came,’ current Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said of his former historic head coach. ‘I invited him for a spring event and the schedules didn’t match up. But I’m glad he’s here. I think it’s great that he’s here. Mike has been such an important part of the long history of this franchise. We welcome him back here whenever he wishes.’

Broncos president of football operations and general manager John Elway and offensive line coach Rich Scangarello were instrumental in organizing Shenehan’s earlier training camp visit. Elway has been trying to convince the famous former head coach to return in recent years.
