“Reuben Amorim will have his own ideas, he has to think about who to keep and who to let go. Marcus Rashford is someone he has to think about whether to keep or let go,” Shearer told Betfair. pgzen

“There’s no doubt he’s got the ability. The 30-plus goals he scored a couple of years ago tells you he’s got the ability. But can Amorim get that ability out of Rashford and restore his confidence?”

“Now with Marcus, we haven’t seen enough from him lately and I don’t know why because we’re not at the club, but in the eyes of the public he’s just a normal player who can’t expect anything.”

Amorim was appointed Manchester United’s new manager, replacing Erik ten Hag, on Friday but will officially take charge on November 11. ( pgzen )
