Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider revealed that Drew Lock was lured by the opportunity to compete for starting quarterback Gino Smith ahead of quarterback. The 25-year-old will sign with the New York Giants to act as Daniel Jones’ backup, according to NFL Network. ( เว็บพนันที่ดีที่สุด )

Schneider said the Seahawks are trying to get Lock to re-sign. But the 25-year-old quarterback opted for a deal with the Giants to serve as Jones’ backup after Rod Taylor signed with the New York Jets. 

‘Basically They sold him the dream of having a chance to compete for the starting job,’ Schneider said. ‘And he felt it was the right opportunity. He looked at Baker Mayfield’s chances last year and felt it might be something similar.’

But signing with the Giants isn’t like Mayfield’s deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as Mayfield will compete for a starting position with Kyle Trask before the former. The 2018 draft number one will be the winner, while the Giants are paying Jones $40 million a year. And that’s certainly the price for a true quarterback.

Therefore, it will be difficult for Lock to become a starter unless Jones is physically incomplete. Unlike if he chooses to stay in Seattle, there is still a chance to compete for a starting position from Smith as well.
