Sky Sport Italia recently reported that Roma have sent a request for details to Rennes because Assignon previously rejected the opportunity to join Burnley permanently, even though The Clarets were ready to use the terms, but the player did not want to play in the Championship.

It depends on how much Rennes will price Assignon. If it is not too high, it is believed that the Roma Wolves are ready to negotiate or may have a tendency to discuss a loan with an option to buy in the future.

Last season, Assignon played 20 games in all competitions for Rennes before being loaned to Burnley for the second half of the season and had the opportunity to show his performance in the Premier League in 15 matches.

As of now, Assinon’s contract runs until mid-2027, but the player is definitely ready to move to a new club.
