Como goalkeeper Jose Manuel Reina, 42, is set to hang up his gloves at the end of the season before turning to coaching next season with Villarreal’s youth team, Mundo Deportivo reported on Tuesday.
Pepe Reina will make his final appearance for Como against Inter Milan in Serie A on Friday before the 42-year-old retires and returns to Villarreal to take charge of the Yellow Submarine’s Under-19s next season.
‘A beautiful career is coming to an end, a perfect life. I feel very lucky with the experiences I’ve had. It’s been a long time, I didn’t expect it, but I think it’s time and I feel like I’m ending it here,’ Reina said.
