The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to sign free agent pass rusher Yannick Ngakwe, 29, to the practice squad, adding more defensive options, ESPN reports.
The former third-round pick in the 2016 draft spent the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, before moving on to the Minnesota Vikings, Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts and most recently the Chicago Bears, where he recorded four sacks, six tackles for loss and seven quarterback hits in 13 games during the 2023 season.
Ngakwe worked under John Harbaugh in 2020, playing in nine games (three starts) after being traded from the Vikings in midseason.
The Ravens signed Ngakwe to the practice squad and are expected to promote him to the 53-man roster in the future to bolster a defense that ranks 17th in sack percentage and 32nd in yards allowed per game (291.7). ( thaisiambet )
