The Ravens become the fifth team of Clowney’s nine-year career since entering the league as the number one draft pick in 2014, having previously played with the Houston Texans, Seattle. Little Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns 

Clowney performed well in his first year in Cleveland, racking up nine sacks, 11 tackles for loss and two fumbles, but his second year as a Brown Ness didn’t go well, finishing with just two sacks in 12 games before being criticized for the team’s defense. That led to him finishing the season unused and being released from the team in March. 

Clowney’s arrival in Baltimore will help take pressure off quarterback following the departure of Calise Campbell, as the Ravens need an experienced player who can build. Different from playing with juniors like Odafi Oweh and David Ojabo, filling that void is important after several defensive backs were injured.
