Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn is confident in Noah Brown’s ability after signing the 28-year-old wide receiver who was surprisingly released by the Houston Texans earlier this year, NFL Network reports. ( sunlit1688 )
“I think the first thing that came to my mind about Noah is he’s a great player,” Quinn said. “He’s a very strong player. He’s got great experience as a wide receiver and on special teams. He’s a great teammate. So when we had the opportunity to add him to this group, it was an easy decision from the coaching side.”
Quinn is no stranger to Brown, having played wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys from 2017-2022, with his final two seasons overlapping Quinn’s tenure as the team’s defensive coordinator.
Brown had a breakout 2023 season with the Texans, catching 33 times for a career-high 567 yards and averaging a career-high 17.2 yards per catch, but the 28-year-old wide receiver struggled with injuries and played in just 10 games, leading to his release.
“I think I bring everything when it comes to the concept of the offense,” Brown said. “I’m a very efficient passer. I can block in the blocking game. I have experience on special teams and I’m willing to do whatever it takes. I’m ready to contribute.”
