Randal Kolo Mouhani has revealed the reason he failed to cope with the pressure of a big-money move to Juventus at Paris Saint-Germain, leading to his current loan move to the club, according to Le Parisiens on Friday. 

PSG splashed out €95 million to bring Mouhani in from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 after the 26-year-old forward scored 26 goals and provided 16 assists in 50 games for the Red and Blacks, but he failed to replicate that feat with Paris Saint-Germain, scoring just 11 goals and providing seven assists in 54 games. 

The 26-year-old has been candid about his failure at PSG: ‘A Frenchman in Paris, who also costs €90m, has a lot of pressure and not everyone can handle it. I couldn’t handle it. I had chances but I couldn’t handle it. It hurts me, but as I’ve said before, this is football and I have no regrets,’ Mouhani said.

Mouhani has now found himself back in action at Juventus, with the 26-year-old scoring five goals in his first nine appearances for the Turin giants, but his future remains uncertain, with his move to Italy expected to be a loan deal with no option to make it permanent. ( pony88 )
