With the change of head coach to Ruben Amorim, the Brazilian’s chances have been further reduced, so it would be good for all parties to try and write a new chapter for the 24-year-old. 

“It is true that several clubs have contacted us about the possibility of Antony leaving in January 2025,” he told Give Me Sport. 

“The teams want to know the situation of Antony – so I can confirm that there is a real interest in the player.” 

“As for Manchester United’s attitude, to be honest, they never showed us if they were interested in selling or loaning Anthony.”

“We haven’t had any communication for a long time.”  

“Manchester United management never told us they wanted to see Antony leave – despite reports from various media outlets about the player in our care.” 

“Let’s just say that what can be said about Antony’s future is up to Manchester United.”

“If the club thinks that a loan in January will give him more game time and boost his confidence – then that’s good.”

The 24 -year-old has only played two league games under Amorim as a back-up right wing-back, which is a waste, so a loan move would be a win-win for all parties involved .
