pony88 Junior Pedroso, agent of Manchester United reserve winger Antony, has revealed that his client has been approached by several clubs both domestic and international to ask for a transfer in the January transfer window. If the deal is beneficial for all parties involved, they will agree. pony88
Antony is the legacy of former manager Erik ten Hag, who bought him from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2022 for a fee of £82m, but has struggled to adapt to English football, and is remembered more as a meme for his helicopter spin than for his goalscoring exploits. ( pony88 )
With the change of head coach to Ruben Amorim, the Brazilian’s chances have been further reduced, so it would be good for all parties to try and write a new chapter for the 24-year-old.
“It is true that several clubs have contacted us about the possibility of Antony leaving in January 2025,” he told Give Me Sport.
“The teams want to know the situation of Antony – so I can confirm that there is a real interest in the player.”
“As for Manchester United’s attitude, to be honest, they never showed us if they were interested in selling or loaning Anthony.”
“We haven’t had any communication for a long time.”
“Manchester United management never told us they wanted to see Antony leave – despite reports from various media outlets about the player in our care.”
“Let’s just say that what can be said about Antony’s future is up to Manchester United.”
“If the club thinks that a loan in January will give him more game time and boost his confidence – then that’s good.”
“But at the same time, Antony has been training hard to fight for his place and show his best skills to new head coach Ruben Amorim.”
The 24 -year-old has only played two league games under Amorim as a back-up right wing-back, which is a waste, so a loan move would be a win-win for all parties involved .
