The Detroit Lions have agreed to a four-year, $97 million extension with $55 million guaranteed for 24-year-old defensive tackle Elim McNeil, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. player1688
The former third-round pick in the 2021 draft class agreed to a new deal with the Lions on the same day that Aidan Hutchinson was placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery on his left tibia and fibula, as was Kyle Pico, who suffered a pectoral injury.
McNeill’s new deal will bring him an average annual salary of $24.25 million, the fourth-highest in the NFL, after he had eight tackles and 2.5 sacks in five games this season helping the Lions to a 4-1 record. ( player1688 )
