The New York Jets have agreed to a new deal with 25-year-old cornerback Michael Carter on a three-year, $30.75 million extension that could be worth up to $33 million, with more than $19 million guaranteed, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports. player1688

Carter, a fifth-round pick in the 2021 draft, has become a key member of the Jets’ defense and one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He is entering the final year of his rookie contract, before Gang Green signed a three-year, $33 million extension.

The deal makes Carter the NFL’s highest-paid cornerback and will stay with Gang Green through the 2027 season.  ( player1688 )
