Law has revealed that Liverpool have been interested in Neto for a long time, dating back to his time at Wolves before Chelsea snapped him up for £54m in the summer of 2024. ( pgzen ) 

The Telegraph previously reported that Liverpool considered signing Neto as a replacement for Salah if the Egyptian superstar moved to Saudi Arabia, but the deal fell through, leaving Chelsea to sign him instead.

However, the situation could change if Salah decides to leave Anfield in the future, with Liverpool potentially moving for Neto as a replacement, which would be interesting to watch as despite the Portuguese’s impressive dribbling skills and pace, he has yet to consistently impress in the Premier League and has a history of injury problems.

While Salah remains a key figure in the Reds’ Premier League title race, Liverpool have time to consider their best options for a suitable replacement in the future.
