nuno168 Aiyak admits negotiations are partly made more difficult by himself.

nuno168 Brandon Aiyak admits he helped create conditions that made new contract talks with the San Francisco 49ers more complicated and time-consuming.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyak, 26, admitted he made negotiations over a new deal more difficult, but ultimately came to an agreement before the start of the 2024 season, according to a report from   nuno168

“I’m not going to lie, I made it a little bit harder at the end of the day than it should have been,” Aiyak said, speaking for the first time since signing a new four-year, $120 million deal.

49ers executives have previously been vocal about their desire to keep Aiyak in San Francisco, but there have been talks of a trade for the 26-year-old wide receiver if talks over a new deal fall through. Aiyak has insisted he wants to stay with the Eagles.

“I just felt like I wanted something, not just in terms of money, but everything,” Aiyak said. “Ultimately, I wanted to be here and I ended up being here, so I’m happy and ready to go.”

Part of the massive extension, including $76 million in guaranteed money, came from Aiyak, who is entering the final year of his $14.1 million rookie contract.

Aiyak had a career-best 2023 season, catching 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns, becoming another dangerous weapon on head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense.  ( nuno168 )
