kindee1688 Netflix has given the green light to a spin-off series for the action thriller “ Extraction ,” which will be set in the same universe as Chris Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake and will star “Lupin” star Omar Sy.
Glen Mazzara of “The Walking Dead” will serve as executive producer and showrunner on the eight-episode series, with Joe and Anthony Russo’s AGBO executive producing. kindee1688
It is not yet known whether Chris Hemsworth will make a cameo in the series, but the plot seems similar, focusing on the new character of Omar Sy, a mercenary who is given a mission to rescue hostages in Libya. He is caught in the middle of war and brutal assassins, facing life-or-death choices, betrayal and emotional struggles.
The series doesn’t yet have an official title, and Netflix executives are hoping the series will take viewers deeper into the Extraction universe, while also featuring the action-packed scenes that viewers love from the franchise.
This is the second time Netflix has adapted a series from its own film, following “XO, Kitty,” a spinoff of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” ( kindee1688 )
