Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry has hailed Barcelona’s Spain winger Lamine Yamal as an “incredible youngster” after he impressed at a major European Championship, he told Suddeutsche Zeitung on Monday. ( vox888 )
Yamal broke through at Barcelona at the age of 16 last season and the youngster from the Azulgrana team played a key role in Spain’s triumph at Euro 2024 in Germany, earning plaudits from all over the world, with Gnabry another person who has praised Lamine’s abilities.
‘It’s incredible. Usually you can tell a 17-year-old has talent, but they’re only 17. But for Yamal to play at the Euros on the biggest stage is incredibly impressive.’
‘When I was 16 or 17 I was doing a lot of things that were beyond my age but I showed that at Arsenal in the Under-18s or Under-19s, not in the professional team. I have a lot of respect for him,’ Gnabry said.
