The Browns released Hogan after the franchise traded two veteran quarterbacks, Tyrod Taylor and Drew Stanton, from the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals, and are likely to draft rookie quarterback Sam Darnold out of USS as their first draft pick of the year.
Former Stanford University quarterback Hogan was drafted by Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 draft and signed as a Browns practice squad member before being called up in October. He played in four games, completing 14 of 26 passes for 104 yards and four interceptions. He also rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown.
Last season, Hogan was the backup to rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer before both were traded after Kizer left for the Green Bay Packers. ( mungmee168 )
