( mungme168 )Newcastle United are interested in signing Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph. mungme168
The Magpies’ recruitment team have been monitoring Delap since his time at City and remain keen ahead of a summer move.
The 22-year-old would be offered £30million if Ipswich are relegated from the Premier League, which could happen if they lose to Newcastle on Saturday. The Magpies
believe Delap’s release clause is good value for a striker who has scored 12 goals this season,
but Newcastle face competition for the England Under-21 international. Sky
Sports understands Delap is one of the names being seriously considered by Chelsea as the Blues look to sign the forward this summer, while Delap is also being considered by Manchester United this summer. However, Newcastle
are believed to be considering a move to the north-east of England, particularly Should the Magpies qualify for the Champions League,
mungmee168 Delap would help Eddie Howe rotate his strikers, with star striker Alexander Isak and Delap potentially able to feature together. ( mungmee168 )
