Of course, it was strong enough to make the third-year veteran guard clutch his shin and lie on the ground in pain, groaning. He had to stay at the scene for quite some time while waiting for the medical team to bring him out on a stretcher. 

“It hurts,” Detroit Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. 

“No teammate is nicer than Ivey. No one cares more about other people’s feelings than him.” 

“I was saddened to see the images of that incident.” 

Ivey is averaging career-best 17.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and four assists in 29 games this season. 

The No. 5 overall draft pick in the 2022 class was also named to the All – Rookie Team in 2023.
