Talks over a new contract for the 30-year-old have been ongoing for months, with his current deal set to expire this summer, leading to reports that a number of European clubs are eyeing a move for him.
Arsenal have reportedly held talks with the player’s representatives about signing him, while Liverpool have also been in talks but have failed to reach an agreement. Kimmich has said he will sort out his future before the international break this month.
Plettenberg recently reported that Kimmich and Bayern Munich have reached an “oral” agreement on a new contract, which will run until 2029, with an official announcement due later this week.
Kimmik joined the Bavarians from RB Leipzig in 2015 and has made 427 appearances for the club, scoring 43 goals and providing 114 assists, winning every trophy with the club. ( moodeng )
