    The 28-year-old has failed to impress for City since joining from Leeds United two years ago, with a loan spell at West Ham ending in disappointment for the second half of last season.

    Manchester City are reportedly ready to let Phillips leave the club, while the player himself is also keen to find a new club for playing time, with Galatasaray, Leipzig, Salzburg and Aston Villa all interested. 

    According to Football Insider, the Toffees have emerged as favourites to sign Phillips, but it is likely to be a loan move.
