thaisiambet Bruno Fernandes, the Portuguese playmaker and captain of Manchester United, a giant club in the English Premier League, has expressed his opinion that the reason for Erik ten Hag, the former Dutch coach, being sacked, was due to his own and the Red Devils’ teammates’ disappointing performance.
The 30-year-old told BBC Sport: “It’s not a happy moment for anyone at the club when the manager is sacked. You have to blame yourself because as a team we didn’t perform well and it’s easier to change the manager than 15 players.” thaisiambet
“I spoke to the manager (Ten Hag) and apologised to him. We were not good enough and I feel responsible for that. Normally I would have scored more goals but I always give 100 per cent and he recognises that.”
The Manchester United board recently decided to announce the sacking of Ten Hag on October 28th, along with the appointment of Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon to take over on November 11th.
For Ten Hag, he left Ajax Amsterdam to take charge of Man United in 2022, where he led the team to win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup once each. ( thaisiambet )
