‘Diario Sport’ reported on Wednesday that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on 18-year-old Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Rais, who is one of the most promising defenders in the world of football in the coffee country.  ( thaisiambet )

Real Madrid’s chief scout, Ghuni Calafat, is reportedly monitoring Vitor Rais, who has emerged as a regular for Palmeiras, making 25 appearances (23 starts) and scoring two goals. The player is contracted to the club until 2028 and has a €100m release clause.

Real Madrid have previously tried to sign French defender Leni Lloro, but the player decided to join Manchester United this summer, so the Los Blancos are now looking for other options, with Vitor Rais on their transfer list. 

Real Madrid are currently looking to strengthen their centre-back position, with only three main players in Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba and Eder Militao. The first two are in their 30s, so they need to add young players for long-term use.
