It was previously reported that Bayern Munich is ready to consider releasing Kimmik and Goretzka if a suitable offer comes to the club this summer. With news of Fulham’s return to chasing Joao Palinha, the Portuguese national team midfielder, Hamann is confident that both Kimmick and Goretzka will stay in Bavaria for the next season. page

‘Kimmick has one year left on his contract. I think he will stay at Bayern,’ Hamann said. ‘[I think] Goretzka will stay in Munich as well. If in doubt during the summer I can imagine the club wanting a huge compensation for the transfer. I don’t know if any team would pay that. When things went their way today I would say both of them will still be there for the new season.’ 

Kimmich is contracted to Bayern Munich until the summer of 2025, with the 29-year-old set to discuss his future with the club after his Euro 2024 commitments. Zka is still under contract until 2026.
