The Detroit Lions continued their strong run after a 24-6 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, winning all six of their away games on the road to improve to a 10-1 record, the franchise’s best start since 1934, according to NFL Network.

“We come together in the away game,” said Jared Goff, who completed 26 of 36 passes for 269 yards. “We’re warriors on the road. This is the mindset that we have to fight them.”

They failed to win on the road two seasons ago, and Dan Campbell previously said he was looking back on the 0-11-1 2022 season in his first year as head coach before the Detroit Lions turned things around.

‘Just think about it, and I think we’ve won 16-5 since then,’ Campbell said. ‘Just those guys, I said something in the locker room about it, Goff and Frank (Ragnow) and (Taylor Decker) and (Pine) Sewell and Elim (McNeill) and Saint (Eamon-Rae St. Brown). It’s like, ‘Do you remember that?’

‘But every player has to take responsibility for turning it around. Everyone in the locker room has to take responsibility for it.’

The Lions lost just once to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their second week at Ford Field. Since then, they have gone on to win over the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans and most recently the Colts.

“I think first of all, we prepared for that,” Decker said. “We prepared for a loud environment. We had players who were competitors who didn’t hesitate and they wanted to get into the lion’s den.”

‘They want to get on the field because it’s fun. It’s fun to be out in a hostile environment when you’re a competitor. I feel like we have a locker room full of players who can compete and they want that challenge.’
