“We would like to thank Lina for her dedication at a very important time for the club and wish her every success in the future. The owners remain fully committed to the growth and success of Roma,” a statement from the club read.
Roma have undergone a major change, with Daniele De Rossi sacked as coach after a dismal start to the 2024-25 season, which has angered ultras who have been causing chaos at the training ground.
Sky Italia reports that Zulucu was also threatened by some fans, who asked the police to provide protection for her and her family on Saturday night, before making the dramatic decision to step down as CEO the following day.
