“Earlier this week, Jax Ulbrich, 21, the son of defensive backs coach Jeff Ulbrich, stumbled upon Shedoar Sanders’ phone number during the NFL Draft on his iPad while visiting his parents’ house and wrote down the number to make a prank call later,” the Falcons said in a statement.
‘Jeff Ulbrich was not aware of the disclosure or any part of the joke and only learned about it after the incident.’
The Falcons have also expressed their deepest condolences to Sanders and his family, and have reached out to apologize, and have asked Jaxson to apologize directly to Sanders’ family.
“We have been in touch with the NFL and will fully cooperate with any inquiries we receive from the NFL League Office. We are reviewing all measures carefully and will update as necessary to help prevent this from happening again.”
Jax Ulbrich, meanwhile, posted a public apology to Sanders, saying, “On Friday night, I made a huge mistake. Shedour, what I did is unforgivable, shameful, and disgraceful.”
‘I’m so sorry for taking away your wonderful time. It was selfish and naive. I could never have imagined that I would have to celebrate one of the most important moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and spoiled it. Thank you for taking my call this morning. I hope you can forgive me.’ ( kuiper999 )
