Sky Sports, a British media outlet, reported that Real Madrid are continuing to negotiate an agreement with Alexander-Arnold’s representatives because of the complexities in the details, even though the signing is free.
Both Real Madrid and Alexander-Arnold are hopeful of reaching an agreement, but there are still a number of issues that need to be resolved in a potential deal, including a signing-on fee, image rights, performance bonuses and more.
The only thing that is certain is that Alexander-Arnold is Real Madrid’s top target this summer, with the England right-back keen to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side and become Jude Bellingham’s team-mate.
