The 28-year-old left-back was promoted to the Premier League from the Championship next season with Leeds, beating Burnley to the title on goal difference on the final day of the season, but his contract is due to expire on June 30 and no extension has been announced, leaving Firpo looking likely to leave the club.
The Dominican international began his career in Spain, joining Real Betis’ youth system in 2014, where he made his professional debut before moving to Barcelona in 2019.
He then moved to Leeds for €15m in 2021, with Barca set to receive 25% of the fee. However, with Firpo now likely to leave on a free transfer, the Catalan giants are not entitled to any of the fee.
Although reports indicate that his former club Betis are in talks, a report from TBR Football claims that Milan are also interested in signing Firpo should France left-back Theo Hernandez be sold this summer.
