Kodma168 LA Chargers agree to re-sign Khalil Mack on one-year, $18M deal
Khalil Mack, 34, is back in Los Angeles after signing a one-year, $18 million deal with the Chargers, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. Kodma168
The return is a win for the Chargers as the free-agent market nears its opening, with Mack accepting a $1 million payday below his 2024 salary and also unlocking a chunk of his salary from the team’s earlier sale of 29-year-old linebacker Joey Bosa.
The Chargers traded Mack from the Chicago Bears in March 2022, leaving Lightning fans with fantasies of glory alongside Bosa, but it didn’t pan out as they only partially succeeded, despite playing more than 10 games together each season, and ended in disappointment after a blowout loss to the Houston Texans in the 2024 playoffs, leading to Bosa parting ways.
In three seasons in Los Angeles, Mack has combined for 31 sacks and 110 tackles in 50 starts with the Chargers. ( Kodma168 )
