The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Olympic 110-meter hurdles and Oregon Ducks wide receiver Devon Allen to a three-year contract on Friday, even though he hasn’t played football in six years, ESPN reports. ( Kodma168 )
Allen hasn’t played football since 2016, when he was with the Ducks before turning to track and field, where he’s finished fifth and fourth at the past two Olympic Games. He caught the attention of scouts at Oregon’s pro day in early April after running an unofficial 4.35-second 40-yard dash. That led to a visit to Philadelphia and eventually a standard three-year deal for an undrafted free agent.
