“Obviously I’d love to get back to Philadelphia,” Williams said. “But right now, I’m just trying to enjoy the moment with my teammates. The rest will take care of itself. I’m pretty confident I’ll end up where I need to be. I just leave it in God’s hands.”
The Eagles have some cap space to try to get Williams back on a deal, but with teams looking for a veteran defensive tackle, they could make an offer that could convince the 25-year-old to sign.
‘Just be in the right situation,’ Williams said. ‘Always value what I bring. Sure, I have to get a pay raise, but I want to win. I love the feeling of winning and being on top of the world, so I want to try to be in a situation as close to that as possible.’
‘No matter where I end up, whether it’s here or anywhere else, just get the players to embrace unity, not being selfish, not hating each other and fighting over who gets the stats or the sacks or whatever, really just stick together.’
